Four members of the Lombok embarkation Hajj group have not yet been able to return to Indonesia as they are still undergoing medical treatment in Saudi Arabia. Head of the Mataram Class I Health Quarantine Centre for West Nusa Tenggara, Herman Nugraha, stated that the four individuals are from flight groups 11, 12, 14, and 15. “The latest information is that there are four Hajj participants who are still left behind and being treated in hospitals in Saudi Arabia,” Herman Nugraha said in Mataram, NTB, on Tuesday. He explained that the four pilgrims required medical treatment due to health problems. According to data from the Mataram Class I Health Quarantine Centre, one patient, identified by the initials SN from Dompu in flight group 11, is being treated for acute respiratory distress syndrome. Another, identified as K from Aikmel, East Lombok, in flight group 12, is receiving care for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. A third pilgrim, S from Brang Biji, Sumbawa Regency, in flight group 14, is still undergoing treatment for ileus, a digestive tract disorder. “Meanwhile, another person with the initials S from Sikur, East Lombok, in flight group 15 is also still receiving treatment in Saudi Arabia,” Herman said. He noted that the majority of the pilgrims still hospitalised are suffering from respiratory disorders and other comorbidities, making them not yet fit to be flown back to Indonesia. “Here, it is mostly due to respiratory disorders, heart problems, and lung disease. It is all related to breathing and the heart,” he explained. He added that as long as the Saudi Arabian Hajj Organising Officers’ duty period is ongoing, the condition of these pilgrims will be monitored daily by Hajj health officers. Their repatriation will be coordinated with the Indonesian Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.
