Four more Starbucks planned for Indonesia

JAKARTA: PT Sari Coffee Indonesia plans to open four more Starbucks outlets in the next three months.

"In the next three months, we will open new outlets at the under-construction Sudirman Place, Wisma Metropolitan and Mal Ciputra, all in Jakarta, and at the Bandung Supermal," the company's general manager, Anthony Cottan, said on Tuesday during the signing of an agreement with PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA).

Under the agreement, holders of the BCA Side Card MasterCard and BCA Gold Card will receive larger cups of coffee at every Starbucks outlet in Indonesia.

Starbucks already offers benefits to holders of ANZ and Citibank credit cards.

The first Starbucks appeared here in 2002 and there are now 28 outlets in the country. -- JP/004
