Four men arrested for burglary
PALU, Central Sulawesi: Donggala police officers arrested four
men on Friday for allegedly stealing various electronics goods
belonging to a local resident, an official said on Saturday.
Donggala Police chief Lt. Col. Adrizal Adnan said the arrests
were made at 2:30 a.m., with the men caught red-handed in the
East Palu district.
The four, believed to be part of a group with dozens of
members, were identified only as AD, MM, PR and SI, all residents
of Talise village in the district, Adrizal was quoted by Antara
as saying.
Besides arresting the thieves, police also confiscated several
television sets of various types, car tape decks, VCD players and
gas stoves from two people who allegedly acted as buyers of the
goods.
The two buyers were also detained for further questioning, he
said.
Adrizal said the raid on the four thieves was conducted
following a tip-off from the public.
