Four luxury houses to be demolished
Four luxury houses in Lebak Bulus, South Jakarta, owned by businessman R.J. Kaptin Adisumarta will be demolished because the owner has built them without permits.
The houses, built on 9,000 square meters of land alongside the Pesanggrahan river, do not have the required building permits from the local authority, Ramal P, chief of the Municipal Public Order Office, said yesterday.
Antara news agency reported that Ramal also said that Kaptin has violated the regulations on a building's distance from the river bed and on the size of a building allowed on a plot.
However, Kaptin stated that he already had a preliminary license to build the houses from the South Jakarta Development Control Agency, which he obtained in March. (03)
