Four Large Motorcycles Seized by KPK in Bribery Case Involving Pemalang Regent

Jakarta, VIVA – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has seized four large-capacity motorcycles (moge) following a series of searches connected to an alleged extortion case that has ensnared suspended Pemalang Regent Anom Widiyantoro. The motorcycles belonged to one of the suspects, Mohamad Haris, also known as Gus Haris (GHA).

“From those searches, investigators carried out, among other things, the seizure of four large-engine-capacity motorcycles (three units at GHA’s house in Pemalang, one unit in Purworejo),” said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo on Monday, 3 August 2026.

In addition to Gus Haris’s house, investigators also searched the homes of the suspects as well as offices and agencies located in Jakarta, Pemalang, Kendal and Purworejo.

Budi explained that the series of searches, conducted from 30 July to 1 August, was aimed at gathering additional evidence required by investigators.

“The searches at a number of locations were to complete the additional evidence needed in the investigation of the alleged extortion corruption offence in Pemalang Regency,” he said.

Earlier, the KPK named four suspects in the case: Anom Widyantoro, the Regent of Pemalang; Mohamad Haris, a private individual who also served as the regent’s trusted confidant; Lilik Budi Suprisnto, another private individual; and Setya Budi Dias Oktavianto, an administrative staff member of the KPK.

“Based on sufficient valid evidence, the KPK has also named four individuals as suspects,” said Budi.

He explained that there are two clusters of cases related to the sting operation (OTT) in Pemalang Regency. The first concerns alleged extortion committed by the regent against his subordinates and private parties.

The second cluster concerns alleged extortion committed by rogue elements within the Corruption Eradication Commission against the Regent of Pemalang.
