Four Klungkung PPPK Caught Drinking During Working Hours, Given a Reprimand

Four government employees with work contracts (PPPK) in Klungkung Regency were captured on CCTV celebrating with alcohol during working hours. The four PPPK were employed at Pasar Umum Galiran in Klungkung.

Head of the Klungkung Regency Office of Cooperatives, SMEs, Industry, and Trade, I Komang Dharma Suyasa, explained that the four PPPK comprised parking attendants and security personnel at Pasar Umum Galiran.

“The four have already been given stern warnings not to repeat the offence,” Dharma Suyasa said on Thursday (5 March 2026).

He also said that the four PPPK had been summoned for coaching that what they did was highly inappropriate. If the four PPPK repeat the same during working hours they would be dismissed.

According to Dharma, every market employee is required to have responsibility and high discipline in performing their duties. Especially since the market is one of the sources of Regional Original Revenue (PAD) for Klungkung.

“They work in a place that is a PAD contributor; if discipline falters, performance will not be optimal,” said Dharma Suyasa.
