Four Killed in Tebet Fire, One Victim Still Unidentified
A boarding house on Jalan Rasamala, Menteng Dalam, Tebet, South Jakarta, caught fire in the early hours of Monday (24/8/2026), resulting in the deaths of four people. Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung confirmed that he had received a report on the incident and verified the death toll. However, one of the deceased has not yet been identified. “It is true that four people died, three have been identified, one has not,” he said in the Tebet area on Monday morning. According to him, two of the victims were elderly, while another was an adult. The identity of the fourth victim remains unknown. Regarding the cause of the fire, Pramono said he could not yet confirm it, stating that investigations into the source of the blaze are still ongoing.
