Four killed in boat crash

PALEMBANG, South Sumatra: Four people, missing since last Thursday's boat crash on the Musi river, Mariana subdistrict, were found dead Saturday, Antara reported.

A spokesman for South Sumatra provincial police said the four victims, three adults and one child, were passengers on the Ardiansyah Putra.

The victims' bodies were found near the site where the Ardiansyah Putra collided with the speedboat Family, the report said.

The accident happened when Ardiansyah Putra, carrying nine passengers, was trying to overtake Family, carrying 35 passengers. Both vessels were en route to Palembang. (pan)
