Four Hajj Flight Groups Land at Surabaya’s Sukolilo Dormitory Tonight
Four initial flight groups (kloter) are scheduled to land gradually at Juanda International Airport in Surabaya on Monday evening. They will be received by East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa at the Sukolilo Hajj Dormitory.
Asadul Anam, Chair of the Surabaya Hajj Pilgrimage Organising Committee (PPIH), told Media Indonesia on Monday (1/6) that preparations for receiving pilgrims at the Sukolilo Hajj Dormitory are fully ready.
All preparations for welcoming the pilgrims, considered guests of God, have been fully mobilised. Upon arrival at the dormitory, pilgrims will undergo an efficient reception process before being formally handed over to local committees for transportation back to their hometowns. “Alhamdulillah, everything is ready. We held three meetings, two offline and one online. All equipment is on-site, and all staff completed training on 30-31 May 2026. Insha’Allah, all is prepared,” he said.
According to the schedule, Kloter 1, carrying pilgrims from Probolinggo Regency, will land first at 8:25 PM WIB. This will be followed by Kloter 2 at 9:20 PM, Kloter 3 at 10:20 PM, and Kloter 4 closing the arrivals at 11:20 PM.
In addition to being predominantly made up of pilgrims from Probolinggo Regency, the initial four kloter also include combined pilgrims from Surabaya, Malang, and Sidoarjo.
After administrative checks in Surabaya, they will be transported to various regions across East Java and received by local committees.
