Four firms to list on SSX

SURABAYA (JP): At least four small and medium-size companies will soon float their shares on the Surabaya Stock Exchange (SSX), the exchange's president said here on Thursday.

SSX president Anton Natakoesoemah said the four companies were leasing and consumer financing firm PT Dana Supra Erapasific, hotel owner PT Pembangunan Graha Lestari, cable television provider Tanjung Bangun Semesta and restaurant chain PT Setiamandiri Mitratama.

"All the companies are prepared to float their shares on the exchange," Anton said following the signing of a cooperation agreement between the SSX and the Association of Indonesian Shoemakers.

He said the cooperation was part of the exchange's program to encourage small and medium-size companies to float their shares on the East Java-based stock exchange.

Previously, the SSX signed a similar agreement with the Association of Indonesian Textile Producers.

Anton said unlike those companies already listed, the four firms would only list their shares on the Surabaya market. Most companies currently trading on the Surabaya Stock Exchange are also listed on the Jakarta Stock Exchange. (nur/hen)
