Four feared dead in boat tragedy

One person died and another three are missing after their overloaded boat capsized in waters off Belawan seaport in North Sumatra on Friday afternoon.

Another 16 passengers were rescued.

The dead were identified as Manijah, 33, from Deli Serdang regency. The missing were: Supriyadi, 30, Andika Syahputra, 5, and Juli, 13, who all came from the regency of Manijah.

Police said the boat was only designed to carry 10 people.

Supiatman, the boat's driver, was helping police with their investigation. --JP
