Four Family Members Found Dead During Camping Trip in Temanggung as Police Investigate
Four tourists from the same family were found dead at a tourist site in the Kledung area of Temanggung Regency. Police are processing the crime scene to investigate the incident.
According to detikjateng on Thursday, 28 May 2026, the four victims were a family consisting of three men and one woman. The male victims, identified as MAM (52), AEH (17), and BAH (21), and the female victim, M (43), are all residents of Panjang Village, Ambarawa District, Semarang Regency.
’Iptu I Komang Mahendra Deputra, Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit (Sat Reskrim) of Temanggung Police Resort, told reporters at Temanggung Regional Hospital: “Today, our unit has processed the crime scene regarding the discovery of four deceased individuals who were a family on a tourist trip in Temanggung Regency.”
‘All four victims are residents of Panjang Village, Ambarawa, Semarang,’ Komang added.
Komang stated that the victims arrived at the tourist site on Tuesday, 26 May, around 10:00 PM WIB. They were camping at the location. The bodies were discovered by staff preparing to clean the camping area. Tragically, all four were found deceased.
‘To stay overnight, they were camping. The following day, Wednesday, 27 May, around 11:45 AM, site staff informed them to check out as cleaning was scheduled,’ he said.
‘When there was no response, staff returned at 3:00 PM, opened the camping tent, and found all four victims had already passed away,’ he added.
