Four die in shop-house fire

JAKARTA: Four people died after being trapped in the fire that
gutted a four-story shop-house in Harmoni Mas business area on
Jl. Jembatan Dua Raya, Bandengan, North Jakarta, midday on
Monday.

"Three bodies were found on the fourth floor of the building
right in front of the door, while the last one was found under a
table on the third floor ... apparently they were trying to get
out," Rudito, a fire fighter told reporters.

The victims are identified as Mrs. Eng, who is the wife of the
shop owner Teddy Wijaya, her son Anto, and shop attendants
Ekawati and Neneng.

The police are still investigating the cause of the fire. --
