Four Days Before Eid, Jasa Marga Chief Reports Exodus Traffic at 28%
PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk. (JSMR) has reported that traffic flow four days before Eid remains relatively controlled, with vehicle volumes at only approximately 28% of the total projected 3.5 million vehicles expected to pass during the holiday exodus period.
Jasa Marga’s Chief Executive Officer, Rivan Achmad Purwantono, stated that vehicle distribution during this year’s Eid period has commenced earlier due to the work-from-anywhere (WFA) policy. According to him, traffic has not yet accumulated significantly, therefore no contraflow measures are currently required.
“Alhamdulillah, thanks to the WFA policy, the distribution period is quite long from the start. The distribution is still running smoothly; there is still no contraflow, no one-way schemes yet. We believe this remains under control,” said Rivan following the 2026 State-Owned Enterprise Free Exodus Dispatch event at Gelora Bung Karno on Tuesday, 17 March 2026.
Jasa Marga forecasts that peak exodus traffic will occur on 18 March 2026. Rivan expressed confidence that vehicle volumes will increase significantly the following day.
The red-plate toll road management company has therefore prepared several traffic management measures, including phased one-way schemes on specific road segments in accordance with actual traffic congestion conditions in the field.
“Traffic management measures, including one-way schemes, will be prepared if needed. One-way schemes will be implemented only on specific sections,” Rivan added.
