Four Companies Prepare for IPO on Indonesia Stock Exchange
The Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) has recorded that four companies are currently in the pipeline to be listed on the bourse in the near future. BEI Director of Corporate Valuation, Saidu Solihin, stated that the prospective issuers come from various sectors, including basic materials, non-primary consumer goods, and healthcare. “As of now, there are four companies in the BEI’s share listing pipeline,” Saidu said in an official statement earlier this week. Of the total, two companies are small-scale issuers with assets below Rp50 billion, while the other two are large companies with assets above Rp250 billion. As of 10 July 2026, the BEI has officially listed seven companies that have conducted IPOs, raising total funds of Rp2.16 trillion. Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto assessed that the continued IPO activity is a positive signal indicating that business confidence in the Indonesian capital market remains strong. He noted that the latest IPO holds particular significance as it is the second listing in 2026 amid volatile stock market conditions. The decision by companies to proceed with listing reflects optimism regarding the national economic outlook. In the first quarter of 2026, the Indonesian economy recorded growth of 5.61%, supported by strong domestic consumption, increased investment, and various government reforms to improve the business climate. The food and beverage industry contributed 7.31% to the Gross Domestic Product in the first quarter of 2026, up from 7.20% in the same period the previous year, with sector growth reaching 7.04% driven by demand during the National Religious Holiday period. In terms of investment, foreign direct investment realisation in the food and beverage industry reached Rp10.48 trillion in the first quarter, while domestic investment recorded Rp16.34 trillion. These achievements demonstrate high investor interest in the real sector and reflect strong domestic markets, maintained purchasing power, and a conducive investment climate. The government continues to advance capital market reforms to maintain investor confidence and enhance the competitiveness of the national financial sector. The decision by global index provider MSCI to retain Indonesia in the Emerging Market category during its June 2026 evaluation serves as a strong indicator of the country’s solid economic fundamentals and the increasing credibility of the Indonesian capital market in the eyes of global investors. The continued IPO activity is expected to further strengthen the capital market’s function as a source of long-term funding for businesses. Funds raised from the public can be utilised by companies to accelerate expansion, increase production capacity, and drive innovation, thereby creating new employment opportunities and contributing to national economic growth. Going forward, the government, together with the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and the Indonesia Stock Exchange, will continue to strengthen capital market reforms through enhanced transparency, corporate governance, and investor protection. These measures are expected to deepen Indonesia’s capital market, broaden access to financing for businesses, and strengthen the financial sector’s contribution to inclusive and sustainable economic growth.
