Four Buildings at Pura Luhur Pucak Tinggah Collapse, Rp1.5 Billion Loss
Four buildings at Pura Luhur Pucak Tinggah, Banjar Angseri, Desa Angseri, Kecamatan Baturiti, Tabanan, collapsed following strong winds on Thursday, 5 March 2026. The structures were: bale paruman (18 x 7 metres) with a bamboo-shingle roof supported by 24 pillars; bale murdamanik (5 x 5 metres); lumbung kelingking (2.5 x 2 metres); and pelinggih penegtegan merta (1 x 1 metre). Public Relations Head of Tabanan Police, AKP I Gusti Made Berata, said the incident occurred on Thursday afternoon and was witnessed by two laborers working on the Bale Pewaregan construction at the temple: Siprianus Tenggo (23) and Gedion Ende (21). “Around 1 pm, the two witnesses were taking a lunch break when a strong wind struck. They saw several buildings collapse and immediately reported to the Angseri Village Chief,” Berata stated in a written release received by detikBali on Friday (6 March 2025). Fortunately there were no casualties, but losses were estimated at Rp1.5 billion.
