Four axed from nat'l soccer team

JAKARTA: Coach Ivan Kolev here on Thursday said four players
would be axed from the national soccer team to play at the Asian
Cup in China on July 17.

The four dropped were Eduard Ivakdalam of Persipura Jayapura,
Zaenal Arifin and Ilham Jayakusuma of Persita Tangerang and Amir
Yusuf Pohan of PSPS Pekan Baru.

Indonesia will kick off its Asian Cup campaign against Qatar
on July 18 in Group A, which includes Bahrain and host China.

Kolev refused to be preoccupied by the strength of Indonesia's
opponents. He said he was more concerned about the performance of
