"Foufo" cast member makes acting debut at age 63

An interesting story lies behind the production of the feature film “Foufo”, which is scheduled for release in cinemas across Indonesia on 9 July 2026.

One of the lead performers, Siti Kam, a mother from Pamekasan, is making her acting debut in the film industry at the age of 63.

“I am proud, and I am very grateful to Mas Bayu (Director Bayu Skak) because I was also selected,” said Siti Kam while sharing her experience of being involved in the Skak Studios film project during a press conference in the Senayan area, Jakarta, on Wednesday.

Siti Kam joined the production after undergoing a capability verification process conducted directly by director Bayu Skak.

According to Bayu, Siti Kam’s presence in “Foufo” serves to perfect the family drama elements that form the core of the film’s story.

Bayu stated that during the filming period, Siti Kam continuously proved her ability to cry on camera.

She was able to blend seamlessly with the rest of the cast and demonstrated total commitment when acting alongside Tretan Muslim, the film’s male lead.

Bayu hopes that Siti Kam’s success in breaking into feature films at an older age can inspire the Indonesian public not to hesitate in taking opportunities to create works domestically, provided one possesses adequate competence.
