Foton Prepares Electric Blind Van and Double Cabin

JAKARTA - Ahead of Giicomvec 2026, several brands are still preparing their booths, including Foton. On the exhibition floor, one unit of a blind van believed to be the Foton View i7 was immediately eye-catching. This model has large dimensions, targeting urban logistics needs, and could become a competitor to the Wuling Mitra and DFSK Gelora E. In terms of appearance, the View i7 adopts a boxy design typical of modern commercial vehicles. The front headlights are already LED with a closed grille, affirming its identity as an electric vehicle. In addition, there is another model, a double cabin, still covered with cloth on the Foton stage. Its silhouette points to a double cab pickup with large dimensions, likely a competitor in the mining or plantation vehicle segment. The presence of these two models signifies Foton’s seriousness in the Indonesian commercial vehicle market. Especially with the combination of electrification through the View i7 and conventional utility from the double cabin, which remains the backbone of the business.
