Foton Launches Electric Double-Cabin Pickup eTunland
JAKARTA - The Indonesian commercial vehicle industry has welcomed a new player in the electrification segment. Foton Indonesia has officially introduced the all-electric double-cabin pickup truck, Foton eTunland, at the Giicomvec 2026 event.
The arrival of the eTunland addresses the need for robust operational vehicles that are also low-emission. The vehicle is offered at a price of Rp 780 million on the road (OTR) Jakarta.
Edi Napis, COO of Foton Indonesia, explained that this launch is a strategic step by the company to support the energy transition in the business and industrial sectors.
Edi added that Foton is committed to continuously providing vehicles that are not only technically functional but also add value to company operations in Indonesia.
“Foton continues to bring solutions for industrial and distribution needs in Indonesia. We believe that the future of commercial mobility is efficient, productive, and environmentally friendly electrification,” he stated.
The torque produced is impressively powerful, at 516 Nm, distributed through the front motor (176 Nm) and rear motor (340 Nm). With that power, the eTunland can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in less than 10 seconds and has a climbing ability (gradient) of up to 40 percent.
For power, this electric pickup uses a third-generation Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery from CATL with a capacity of 88.02 kWh. On a full charge, the eTunland is claimed to cover up to 350 km based on WLTP testing standards.
Foton has also considered operational time efficiency through fast charging technology. Using 80 kW DC Fast Charging, charging from 20 percent to 80 percent takes only 40 minutes. Meanwhile, for 11 kW AC charging, a full charge takes about 11.5 hours.
Although positioned as a work vehicle, the interior aspect has not been overlooked. The eTunland’s cabin feels modern with the presence of dual 12.3-inch screens for the instrument panel and multimedia. The cabin materials already use soft wrapping, and the seats are made of leather to enhance driver comfort.
Foton provides peace of mind for consumers with a substantial battery warranty of up to 8 years or 400,000 km, whichever comes first.
