Fortitude of YTR, Bandung Confinement Victim: 'I Have Made Peace with Everything'
The case involving YTR, the victim of confinement in Bandung, continues to draw public attention. After years of separation from her family and being found in a distressing condition, the victim is now slowly undergoing physical and mental recovery. Amid the ongoing legal proceedings against Taufik Hidayat, YTR is said to be showing a new spirit to reorganise her life. This development was shared by Erni, YTR’s aunt, who has been actively posting updates on her niece’s condition via social media. In her latest post, Erni showed a photo of YTR resting in a hospital bed, alongside a story about their conversation after the perpetrator was arrested by the police. According to Erni, YTR’s mental condition is showing quite good progress. Despite having to face the bitter reality of the events she experienced, the victim has reportedly tried to accept the situation and chosen to move forward. In her post, Erni revealed that YTR had shared her feelings during their chat. ‘Your mental strength is strong… after we had a heart-to-heart earlier, (YTR) said she has made peace with everything, is sincere, and surrenders to accepting all circumstances,’ Erni wrote. YTR even spoke about her plans to face the future without Taufik Hidayat. ‘Earlier she talked about wanting to start an online business, wanting to sell geprek chicken… Please pray for the best,’ she continued. She also hopes her niece will receive justice from the ongoing legal process. ‘Hopefully the legal process runs well, and you can get justice,’ she wrote. Finally, she expressed her gratitude to netizens who have prayed for YTR’s recovery. ‘Thank you to everyone who has supported and prayed for (YTR). Kindness will return to you.’ The post immediately garnered attention from many netizens, with many admitting they were touched by YTR’s spirit to rise despite still undergoing treatment and recovery. Previously, YTR had also expressed relief after learning Taufik Hidayat had been successfully arrested by the West Java Regional Police. The victim admitted to feeling calmer and happier because the person suspected of hurting her is now facing legal proceedings.
