Former West Java Ombudsman Chief Dan Satriana Passes Away

Former head of the West Java Ombudsman Dan Satriana has died, it was reported on Tuesday (18/8/2026) at around 2.30 a.m. Western Indonesia Time. The family home is located on Jalan Reog D33, Bandung.

“Innalillahi wa innailaihi rojiun, our beloved brother Dan Satriana has returned to the mercy of Allah, Tuesday (18/8/2026) at 2.30 a.m. Western Indonesia Time,” according to a short message circulated in a journalists’ WhatsApp group on Tuesday (18/8/2026).

In the message, the family prayed that the deceased would have a good end and be granted the best place in the sight of Allah SWT. They also asked for forgiveness should there have been any mistakes, whether intentional or unintentional.

“The place and time of the funeral will be announced later. The family home is at Jalan Reog number D33, Bandung,” the short message continued.

An artist and journalist in Bandung, Matdon, confirmed the information. He said the deceased would be buried at the Gumuruh public cemetery in Bandung.

“He will be buried at the Gumuruh public cemetery, Bandung,” he said via short message on Tuesday (18/8/2026).
