Former US Vice President Kamala Harris Exposes Donald Trump's Falsehoods About Iran

Former United States Vice President Kamala Harris has condemned President Donald Trump’s decision to engage the country in warfare with the Islamic Republic of Iran. Harris characterised Trump as a deceptive president whose reckless decisions dangerously place American forces into major conflict in the Middle East.

Harris expressed confidence that Trump’s decision is opposed by the majority of American citizens and believes the war ambitions contradict the United States Constitution.

“Donald Trump has dragged the United States into a war that the American people do not want. Let me be clear, I oppose war with Iran, and our troops have been placed in danger for Trump’s chosen war,” Harris stated in a statement released via social media on Sunday, 1 March 2026.

Harris, who served as vice president during the Joe Biden administration, said that the war with Iran chosen by Trump constitutes a dangerous gamble for the fate of American soldiers.

Harris further stated that Trump’s choice to wage war with Iran threatens peace efforts in the Middle East region and endangers global stability and security. “This war is a dangerous and unnecessary gamble, making American soldiers and citizens the victims, whilst also endangering regional stability and America’s standing in the world,” Harris said. “What we are witnessing now is not strength. This is recklessness masquerading as conviction,” she added.
