Former TNI Commanders Gather at Ministry of Defence Building

Several former TNI Commanders gathered at the Ministry of Defence building, Medan Merdeka Barat, Central Jakarta, on Friday morning, 24 April 2026. They convened to attend a silaturahmi event by the Defence Minister with the retirees.

Tempo observations noted that several former Commanders arrived around 08:50 WIB. Among them were former ABRI Commander Wiranto, Yudo Margono, Agus Suhartono, Andika Perkasa, and Gatot Nurmantyo.

Also present was Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs Djamari Chaniago and former Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) as well as Presidential Special Advisor for National Defence General TNI Dudung Abdurachman.

Additionally, Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) Maruli Simanjuntak, Navy Chief of Staff Admiral Muhammad Ali, and Air Force Chief of Staff Tonny Harjono were in attendance. The event was also attended by Deputy TNI Commander Tandyo Budi Revita. As of now, they are holding a closed-door meeting.
