Former Taspen Chief Executive Antonius Kosasih Files Cassation Appeal to Supreme Court Over Fictional Investment Case
Antonius NS Kosasih, the former chief executive of PT Taspen, has filed a cassation appeal with the Supreme Court (MA) regarding a corruption case involving a fictional investment project.
According to the official website of the Indonesian Supreme Court, the cassation petition with case number 4414 K/PID.SUS/2026 has been entered into the Supreme Court registry system.
Previously, the Jakarta High Court upheld the verdict against Kosasih. He remains sentenced to 10 years imprisonment with a fine of Rp 500 million, or alternatively 6 months imprisonment. The appellate court decision did not change the verdict handed down by the first-instance judges.
In addition to the prison sentence, Kosasih was ordered to pay compensation amounting to Rp 29.152 billion, USD 127,057, SGD 283,002, EUR 10,000, THB 1,470, GBP 30, JPY 128,000, HKD 500, and KRW 1,262 million, as well as Rp 2,877,000. If the auctioned assets and property do not cover the full amount of the compensation owed, Kosasih will face an additional prison sentence of 3 years.
Meanwhile, the other defendant, Ekiawan Heri Primaryanto, the chief executive of PT Insight Investment Management (PT IIM), did not pursue further legal remedies after being sentenced to 9 years imprisonment. As a result, Ekiawan’s verdict has acquired legal finality, with a sentence of 9 years imprisonment and a fine of Rp 500 million, or alternatively 6 months imprisonment. Ekiawan was also ordered to pay compensation of USD 253,660, or alternatively 2 years imprisonment.
