Former Sinar Mas Executive Joins Buana Lintas Lautan (BULL)
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia — PT Buana Lintas Lautan Tbk (BULL) will hold an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS) on 23 April 2026. Management will seek approval from shareholders to change the composition of the company’s board members. Quoting the disclosure of information from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI), the EGMS will be held next Thursday at 14:00 to 15:00 WIB, located at Sampoerna Strategic Square, North Tower, 3A Floor, Anggrek 1-3 Room. “The company will propose in the meeting to make changes to the composition of the company’s board members by appointing a new Independent Commissioner as a member of the Board of Commissioners,” management stated on Monday (13/4/2026). The agenda includes the profile of the prospective Independent Commissioner, Ferita Lie, who will join the BULL issuer. Ferita Lie is a former executive in the Sinarmas Group. From 2021 to 2025, she served as Managing Director at PT Sinarmas Multi Artha Tbk. Additionally, from 2018 to 2025, she also sat as Chair Commissioner at PT Sinarmas Sekuritas. Previously, from 2013 to 2017, she held the position of Chief Financial Officer at Sinarmas Mining Group. Besides the Sinar Mas Group, Ferita also worked under the Djarum Group. She served as Financial Director at Grand Indonesia from 2007 to 2013. Currently, she serves as Founder and President Director of Marx Consulting Group since 2025. Ferita Lie is an Indonesian citizen aged 49 and resides in Indonesia. She has a strong educational background in economics and management. For her education, she obtained a bachelor’s degree from Trisakti University in 1998 majoring in Accounting Economics. She then continued her education to the postgraduate level and earned an International Executive Master of Management degree from Pelita Harapan University in 2020. It is known that rumours have circulated about plans for Sinar Mas to acquire BULL. Director Wong Kevin declined to comment on the rumours. “Of course, regarding that, we might have no comment at all until there is a specific final or anything, so that’s totally no comment,” he said. However, looking at the company’s future business prospects, they are considered transformational. Therefore, all possibilities to ensure we can optimally explore all these opportunities. Whether in terms of corporate actions, new loans, or with strategic investors or investments. “Therefore, because our opportunities are indeed very attractive, we are confident that we can execute our overall plan,” he added. Company Secretary Krisnanto Tedjaprawira added that, looking at the historical financials, the Sinarmas Group through Bank Sinarmas has supported BULL’s development since 2018 until now. “So, BULL’s relationship with the Sinarmas Group through Bank Sinarmas has been established for quite a while, but it does not rule out the possibility that we will collaborate further in the coming years,” he stated.
