Former Presidential Communications Chief Hasan Nasbi Summoned Unexpectedly to Presidential Palace by Prabowo
Jakarta — Hasan Nasbi, the former head of the Presidential Communications Office (PCO), was summoned by President Prabowo Subianto to the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Thursday, 12 March 2026.
However, Nasbi stated that he did not know why he had been called. He also expressed uncertainty about the capacity in which he was summoned.
“I don’t know why I’ve been called. There’s apparently an agenda, an agenda with the President. I don’t know yet, I don’t know the capacity,” Nasbi said at the palace.
He also denied having any knowledge regarding rumours of a Cabinet reshuffle.
“There has been no discussion about that. No conversation about it. We shall see. There is no information whatsoever. I have no information. There has been no discussion either,” he explained.
Nevertheless, Nasbi reiterated that he remained uncertain about the reason for his summons to the Presidential Palace.
“It was just then, at half past one this afternoon. I was contacted via messaging by the protocol office at half past one. There is apparently an agenda with the President, they said. But I don’t yet know what the agenda is. To be honest, I really don’t know. Let’s be patient,” Nasbi added.
