Former PCO Head Hasan Nasbi Meets President Prabowo at Jakarta Palace

Former Presidential Chief of Staff (PCO) Hasan Nasbi met with President Prabowo Subianto at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Thursday, 12 March.

He said he was unaware of what topics would be discussed during the meeting with Prabowo.

“I don’t know why I was called. There’s apparently an agenda, the President’s agenda,” Nasbi said.

Nasbi also noted that his visit was simply to attend a meeting.

He stated that his presence did not yet represent any specific role.

Nasbi remained reluctant to discuss his prospects for returning to government.

“There have been no discussions about that. There’s been no talk about it. We’ll see later,” he said.

Nasbi previously served as PCO head. In September 2025, he was affected by a government reshuffle. The PCO was subsequently replaced by the Government Communications Agency, headed by Angga Raka Prabowo.

Before visiting the Palace today, Nasbi also participated in a meeting at Prabowo’s residence in Hambalang on Monday, 9 March.

He said his attendance was due to an invitation from the Palace protocol office.

However, Nasbi did not clarify whether he was invited in his capacity as Pertamina Commissioner or whether he was being offered a new position within the Palace.
