Former NTB Regional Secretary Lalu Gita Questioned Again in Rp 11 Billion Credit Case

The former Regional Secretary (Sekda) of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), Lalu Gita Ariadi, has been questioned again by the NTB High Prosecutor’s Office (Kejati NTB). This interrogation is related to the alleged corruption case involving an Rp 11 billion credit facility from Bank NTB Syariah to PT Carsten Group Indonesia (CGI) for the execution of the 2023 MXGP.

“Yes, he was questioned regarding PT Carsten,” said the Head of Public Information at the NTB High Prosecutor’s Office, Muhammad Harun Al Rasyid, on Tuesday (1/9/2026).

According to information gathered by detikBali, Lalu Gita arrived at the NTB High Prosecutor’s Office at approximately 10:00 WITA. Although he left before 12:00 WITA, his interrogation continued until the afternoon.

“He is still being questioned. Alone,” said the Assistant for Special Crimes (Aspidsus) of the NTability High Prosecutor’s Office, Muh Zulkifli Said.

Lalu Gita was previously questioned by Special Crimes investigators at the NTB High Prosecutor’s Office on Thursday (2/7/2026). At that time, he was interrogated regarding the corruption case involving the 2023 Lombok Sumbawa Motocross Competition event.

In the Rp 11 billion credit case, the NTB High Prosecutor’s Office has questioned several witnesses, including the former General Director of Bank NTB Syariah, Kukuh Rahardjo. Kukuh has been questioned three times, most recently on Thursday (27/8/2026).

Additionally, investigators have questioned the former Director of Financing at PT Bank NTB Syariah, Muhamad Usman, and the former Director of PT Samota Enduro Gemilang (SEG), Taufan Rahmadi, acting as the promoter.

Investigators also searched the Bank NTB Syariah office on Jalan Udayana, Mataram City, on Thursday (23/7). At least 100 documents were seized during the search.

The provision of the Rp 11 billion capital to PT CGI is alleged to have bypassed proper mechanisms. The NTB High Prosecutor’s Office found unlawful acts that created the potential for state losses, leading the case to be upgraded from an investigation to a full criminal inquiry.

This case is distinct from the alleged corruption regarding the 2024 MXGP event, which was also funded by Bank NTB Syariah and is currently still in the investigation stage. It is also separate from the Rp 24 billion corruption case involving the 2023 LSMC event, which was funded by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy and has now entered the criminal inquiry stage.
