Former NTB Inspector Says LSMC Audit Conducted at Kemenparekraf's Request

Mataram (ANTARA) - Former Inspector of the West Nusa Tenggara Inspectorate, Ibnu Salim, stated that the investigative audit into the budget for the 2023 Lombok-Sumbawa Motocross Competition (LSMC) was conducted at the request of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy. Ibnu made this statement after being examined as a witness in the investigation into alleged corruption of the LSMC budget at the West Nusa Tenggara High Prosecutor’s Office in Mataram on Wednesday. “So, at that time I was the supervisor, the Government Internal Supervisory Apparatus (APIP), the inspector, and also the acting Regional Secretary of NTB. I requested that this be audited, and it received a response from Kemenparekraf to hand over the implementation of the audit to the NTB Inspectorate,” he said. According to Ibnu, the investigative audit was carried out because the budget for organising the LSMC came from Revised State Budget Government Assistance (Banper) channelled through Kemenparekraf. “As a form of assistance as well. We act as an ‘early warning system’, so that the implementation of the Lombok-Sumbawa Motocross Competition runs effectively, efficiently, economically, and accountably,” he stated. Ibnu confirmed that the audit, which lasted about one year, found a value of Rp2.6 billion that could not be accounted for from a total budget realisation of Rp21.5 billion. The audit results were then submitted to Kemenparekraf in the form of an Audit Result Report (LHP) as a basis for follow-up recovery. He admitted he did not know the progress of the return of the remaining findings of around Rp800 million because he was no longer serving as NTB Inspector at that time. The alleged corruption case concerning the 2023 LSMC budget has now entered the investigation stage at the West Nusa Tenggara High Prosecutor’s Office.
