Former North Sumatra PUPR Head Sentenced to 5.5 Years in Road Project Bribery Case
ANTARA - Former Head of the Public Works and Public Housing Department (PUPR) of North Sumatra, Topan Obaja Putra Ginting, was sentenced to 5.5 years in prison on Wednesday (1/4), while former Head of the Gunung Tua UPTD, Rasuli Efendi Siregar, received four years, in a bribery case involving a road project in 2025. The two were found guilty of receiving a total bribe of Rp300 million from the director of PT Nalihan Natolu Grup as a commitment fee to secure two road projects valued at Rp165 billion, and they were also imposed with fines and the obligation to return the bribe money.
