Former National Nutrition Agency Head Dadan Hindayana Detained by Attorney General's Office
The Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) has officially named the former Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Dadan Hindayana, as a suspect in an alleged corruption case involving the illegal trading of Nutrition Service Unit (SPPG) points, on Wednesday, 3 June 2026. This designation marks the culmination of an investigation that previously included searches at the BGN office in Kebon Sirih, Central Jakarta.
Dadan was interrogated and subsequently taken by investigators from the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) wearing the distinctive pink detainee vest used by the Attorney General’s Office. The case involving the former high-ranking official emerged after investigators conducted searches at the agency’s office early in the morning, reportedly uncovering evidence pointing towards the sale of SPPG points within the national nutrition fulfilment programme.
The search of the BGN office in Jakarta drew significant attention as it occurred just one day after President Prabowo Subianto reshuffled the agency’s leadership. The Acting Head of the Attorney General’s Office for Legal Information, Jefri, confirmed that the investigators from the Directorate of Special Crimes (Dittipidsus) were indeed conducting legal actions at the BGN office.
This investigation coincides with major structural changes within the BGN. On Tuesday night, 2 June 2026, President Prabowo implemented a leadership change in the agency, which serves as the spearhead for the national nutrition fulfilment programme. In the new structure, Nanik S. Deyang was appointed as the Head of the BGN, replacing Dadan Hindayana. Additionally, the Deputy Head positions are now held by Agustina Arumsari and Major General TNI Trenggono, replacing Lodewik Kusung and Soni Sanjaya, respectively.
