Former KAMMI, BEM UI, and BEM SI Leaders Join PKS Youth Wing Leadership
A number of former student activists from various national organisations have now joined the Central Executive Board (DPP) of Gema Keadilan for the 2026–2031 period. Names that once led the Indonesian Muslim Student Action Union (KAMMI), the University of Indonesia Student Executive Board (BEM UI), and the All-Indonesia Student Executive Board (BEM SI) are filling strategic positions in the youth wing of the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS). The new leadership was established during the V National Conference (Munas) of Gema Keadilan held in Jakarta. Rahmat Saleh was elected as the General Chairman of Gema Keadilan for the 2026–2031 term. The inauguration of the board was conducted by PKS Secretary General Muhammad Kholid, who also serves as the Chairman of the Central Advisory Board of Gema Keadilan. “By expressing gratitude, Alhamdulillah, you who have taken the oath of office are officially the administrators of the DPP Gema Keadilan. May Allah grant blessings and smoothness in carrying out your duties,” said Kholid. Among the names included in the leadership are former General Chairman of PP KAMMI for the 2021–2023 period, Zaki Ahmad Rifai, and former BEM UI Chairman Maman Abdurrahman, who were entrusted as Vice General Chairmen. Additionally, former Secretary General of PP KAMMI for the 2019–2021 period, Susanto, serves as Secretary General, while Hilmi Ash Shidiqi, who was part of the BEM SI 2023 Corps, was inaugurated as Deputy Secretary General. The inclusion of these former student activists brings a new dynamic to the composition of Gema Keadilan’s leadership this period. They possess backgrounds of experience in national student and youth organisations before joining the organisation’s board. General Chairman of Gema Keadilan, Rahmat Saleh, expressed his hope that the organisation he leads will not only be a gathering place for young people but also capable of generating ideas and leadership that address various national issues. “We want Gema Keadilan to be known not just as a youth organisation, but as a birthplace of solutions and future leaders,” said Rahmat. He stated that the challenges facing the younger generation today require greater involvement from youth organisations. “From here, we are preparing a generation capable of addressing the challenges of welfare, education, employment, and various national issues,” he said.
