The legal process ensnaring former Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) Febrie Adriansyah continues to unfold. After the handling of his case was transferred from the Police’s Corruption Eradication Corps (Kortastipidkor) to the Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung), Febrie has now begun undergoing questioning as a suspect.

Head of the Attorney General’s Office Legal Information Centre (Kapuspenkum) Anang Supriatna confirmed that investigators had summoned Febrie for questioning in his capacity as a suspect regarding alleged corruption at PT Asabri. “Investigators have summoned Mr FA for questioning as a suspect,” he said on Friday, 17 July 2026.

During the examination, Febrie was accompanied by lawyer Hotman Paris Hutapea, who had previously officially received a power of attorney to defend the former Jampidsus. Hotman confirmed his presence during the proceedings, stating, “Yes, I am accompanying him.”

Previously, the Police’s Corruption Eradication Corps decided to transfer the handling of the alleged corruption and money laundering case involving Febrie Adriansyah to the Attorney General’s Office. Head of Kortastipidkor, Inspector General Totok Suharyanto, stated that the decision was the result of an agreement between the Police and the Attorney General’s Office as a form of strengthening synergy in law enforcement. The transfer of the case occurred after investigators named Febrie Adriansyah and a private party with the initials Don Ritto as suspects, following a case review based on the results of the investigation and inquiry.
