Former Jampidsus Febrie Adriansyah Only Barred from Travel for 20 Days, Here's the Minister's Explanation
Minister of Immigration and Corrections Agus Andrianto has addressed the 20-day travel ban imposed on former Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes Febrie Adriansyah. He stated that the travel ban is temporary, as the initial request was submitted by the Metro Jaya Police during the preliminary investigation into the corruption case involving Febrie. The case has now been transferred to the Attorney General’s Office. “So we gave 20 days. We are waiting for the request from the Attorney General’s Office,” Agus said after attending a meeting with Commission XIII of the Indonesian House of Representatives at the Parliament Complex in Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday, 14 July 2026. He added that the Attorney General’s Office will request an extension of the travel ban after the 20-day period expires. The Directorate General of Immigration at the Ministry of Immigration and Corrections has implemented the travel ban against the former Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes, identified by the initials FA, after he was named a suspect in an alleged corruption and money laundering case. In addition to FA, the Directorate General of Immigration also imposed a travel ban on DR, or Don Ritto, another corruption suspect in the same case. “Immigration has implemented a travel ban against two individuals with the initials FA, a civil servant, and DR, a private sector individual,” said Director General of Immigration Hendarsam Marantoko. The travel ban for FA and DR is valid for 20 days in accordance with applicable regulations. Hendarsam added that Immigration continues to support law enforcement agencies in every request for travel bans.
