Former Formula 1 driver Rio Haryanto has referred the matter of sanctions against a former Penumping Village officer, now a civil servant at the Solo City Civil Service Police unit, to the competent authorities regarding the leaked personal data belonging to him. The individual was previously issued a disciplinary penalty of a 5 per cent salary cut for nine months.

“Let the competent authorities handle it. That is personal data that should have been kept confidential,” Rio stated when met by media representatives at Baitulrahman Mosque, Sumber District, Banjarsari Sub-district, Solo City, on Friday, 13 March 2026.

“Well, let us forgive each other during this holy month,” Rio Haryanto added.

Solo City Government’s Explanation

The Solo City Government has imposed a medium-level sanction against the former Penumping Village officer who leaked data belonging to the former Formula 1 driver Rio Haryanto.

“Yesterday, we submitted the decree to the individual concerned. The sanction is a medium one, consisting of a 5 per cent salary reduction for nine months,” said Beni Supartono, Head of the Personnel and Human Resources Development Board (BKPSDM), when reached by detikJateng on Monday, 9 March 2026.

Beni stated that the individual concerned is currently working normally at the Solo City Civil Service Police unit. He indicated that the penalty imposed is only a reduction of basic salary for nine months.
