Former football player's remains identified
BALI: The remains of a former Nebraska football star were identified Friday, two weeks after a bombing killed more than 180 people.
Hong Kong-based attorney Jacob C. Young, 34, was in Bali for a rugby tournament. He was an All-America center in the 1980s for the university's American football team, the Cornhuskers.
Many of the dead were burned beyond recognition, and Young's parents sent his medical records and samples of their own hair and saliva to Indonesia in hopes of identifying any remains.
His parents already had planned a memorial service for Saturday.
Young was among 11 victims identified Friday.
"I think probably some closure is important," said former Nebraska coach Tom Osborne, who coached Young from 1986-89 and now is a Republican congressman. "It's been a real difficult thing."--AP
