Former Deputy Chief of the Indonesian National Police, Komjen (Purn) Oegroseno, has rescheduled his clarification meeting with the Corruption Crime Task Force (Kortas Tipidkor) regarding the Sepolwan land procurement case. Oegroseno was originally scheduled to provide testimony in the case today. “Yes (I did not attend), I still have activities that I cannot leave,” he told reporters on Thursday (23/7). He admitted that he had proposed the option for the clarification process to be conducted on Thursday (30/7) next week. Furthermore, Oegroseno stated that he would first gather data so that it could be submitted to investigators. “I am still looking for that data from 2011. Because it would be awkward to go there without bringing any data,” he said. Previously, the Kortas Tipidkor Polri had re-issued an invitation for clarification to Oegroseno regarding the Sepolwan land procurement case. “It is not a summons, but an invitation for clarification to obtain information, scheduled for Thursday, 23 July 2026,” said the Head of Kortas Tipidkor Polri, Inspector General Totok Suharyanto, to reporters. On that occasion, Totok reiterated that the invitation for clarification was not an attempt to criminalise the former Deputy Police Chief. He explained that the case originated from a public complaint regarding alleged criminal acts in the Sepolwan land procurement process. Totok assured that the investigation process is being conducted in accordance with the applicable legal corridors. “So, this investigation is intended to determine whether this event constitutes a criminal act of corruption or not,” he said. Totok added that the process of inviting someone for clarification is also regulated in Article 16 paragraph 1 letters c & j of the Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP) as a means of obtaining information as part of the investigation method.
