Former Defence Minister Ryamizard Ryacudu's Funeral Prayers Held at Cikeas Residence

Former Defence Minister Ryamizard Ryacudu’s funeral prayers were held at his residence in Perumahan Puri Wira Bhakti 1/1B Cikeas, Bogor, this evening, with family and relatives in attendance.

The funeral prayers took place around 6:20 PM WIB after Maghrib prayer, with approximately three rows led by the family.

The deceased was placed in a coffin draped in the red and white flag, positioned directly in front of the room.

The Ministry of Defence (Kemhan) is scheduled to hold a farewell ceremony and interment for Ryamizard Ryacudu, with the body being taken to the ministry for lying-in-state.

Subsequently, the deceased will be buried at Kalibata National Heroes Cemetery in Jakarta with a military funeral ceremony.

The Ministry of Defence (Kemhan) expressed condolences over the death of former Defence Minister Ryamizard Ryacudu.

“The Republic of Indonesia Ministry of Defence extends deepest condolences on the passing of General TNI (Ret.) Ryamizard Ryacudu, Defence Minister from 2014 to 2019,” Kemhan stated on its Instagram account @kemhanri.

Kemhan remembered Ryamizard as a soldier, leader, and statesman who dedicated his entire life to the nation.

“His dedication, firmness, and contributions to strengthening the national defence system are part of a legacy of service that will continue to be remembered and inspire future generations in safeguarding Indonesia’s sovereignty,” Kemhan stated.

Kemhan prayed for Ryamizard and his family. “May Allah SWT grant His mercy and forgiveness, place the deceased in the best place with Him, and grant strength, patience, and acceptance to the bereaved family,” it added.
