Former Customs Officials in Bribery Case to Face First Trial on 3 July
The first trial in the alleged bribery and gratification case involving three former Customs and Excise officials over counterfeit goods imports will be held on 3 July 2026 at the Jakarta Corruption Court. The defendants are former Director of Enforcement and Investigation at Customs and Excise Rizal, former Head of the Intelligence Sub-Directorate at the Directorate of Enforcement and Investigation Sisprian Subiaksono, and former Head of the Customs Intelligence Section I at the Directorate of Enforcement and Investigation Orlando Hamonangan.
βThe panel of judges has determined that the first trial, with the agenda of reading the indictment, will be held on 3 July 2026,β said Central Jakarta District Court spokesperson Andi Saputra in Jakarta on Thursday. The panel of judges for the trial consists of Brely Yuniar Dien Wardi Haskori as presiding judge, with Edward Agus and Nofalinda Arianti as member judges.
The three customs officials became suspects after the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) conducted a sting operation within the Directorate General of Customs and Excise on 4 February 2026. In addition to the three government suspects, the KPK also named three other suspects from the private sector: Blueray Cargo owner John Field, Blueray Cargo Import Documentation Team Head Andri, and Blueray Cargo Operational Manager Dedy Kurniawan. Budiman Bayu Prasojo, Head of the Customs Intelligence Section at the Directorate of Enforcement and Investigation, was named an additional suspect on 26 February 2026. Meanwhile, John Field, Andri, and Dedy Kurniawan underwent their first trial on 6 May 2026 in a separate case.
