Former Corruption Convicts at Sukamiskin Prison Become Cooks for Free Nutritious Meals Programme
ANTARA – Class I Sukamiskin Prison in Bandung has long been associated with serving as the place where people convicted of corruption serve their sentences. But a different scene is now unfolding in the kitchen of the prison’s Nutrition Fulfilment Service Unit (SPPG).
Dozens of people who were once embroiled in corruption cases now wield spatulas and frying pans before dawn. They are volunteering as cooks, working to ensure that thousands of schoolchildren in the Arcamanik area receive free nutritious meals.
