Former BPN Head in Central Lombok Questioned Over MXGP Samota Circuit Gratification Case
The former Head of the National Land Agency (BPN) for Central Lombok and Sumbawa, Subhan, has been questioned regarding a gratification case involving corruption in the land procurement for the Samota MXGP Circuit in Sumbawa in 2022. The interrogation was conducted by the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) High Prosecutor’s Office.
“Yes, it is true, the individual in question is being questioned regarding the alleged gratification case,” stated the Assistant Special Crimes Prosecutor of the NTB High Prosecutor’s Office, Muh Zulkifli Said, on Monday (8/6/2026).
Subhan has been interrogated by investigators more than once regarding this gratification. Zulkifli declined to disclose the specific details of the interrogation, only confirming that the examination of the individual involved in the MXGP Samota circuit land procurement corruption case has occurred multiple times.
Subhan has not yet been named a suspect in this alleged gratification case, as the investigation is still ongoing. The NTB High Prosecutor’s Office is not only investigating the gratifications arising from the MXGP land procurement corruption but is also investigating potential money laundering (TPPU).
Zulkifli noted that the money laundering investigation is currently in the investigation stage. He previously mentioned that Subhan is suspected of receiving gratifications amounting to billions of rupiah during his tenure as the Head of BPN for Sumbawa and Central Lombok.
The investigation into both gratification and money laundering is in the active investigation phase. Prosecutors have seized several documents during searches conducted at the BPN offices for Central Lombok and Sumbawa.
The investigation into the gratification and money laundering cases originated from the corruption surrounding the purchase of 70 hectares of land for the MXGP Circuit in Samota, Sumbawa. The land was purchased by the Sumbawa Regency Government from the former Regent of East Lombok, Ali Bin Dachlan, for a value of Rp 52 billion.
Subhan is currently a defendant in the corruption case involving the purchase of the 70-hectare land, alongside defendants Pung Saifullah Zulkarnaen and Muhammad Jan.
During the investigation, investigators discovered state losses amounting to Rp 6.7 billion in the land purchase process. This state loss has been returned to the NTB High Prosecutor’s Office by Ali Bin Dachlan, who received the payment.
At the time of the land procurement, Subhan served as the Head of BPN Sumbawa and acted as the chairman of the land procurement committee, while Pung Saifullah Zulkarnaen and Muhammad Jan served as the appraisal team from the Public Services Valuation Office (KJPP).
