Former Bima Police Narcotics Chief and Five Suspects Transferred to National Police Criminal Investigations Bureau
JAKARTA — Six narcotics suspects from West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) have been transferred to the Criminal Investigations Bureau of the National Police (Bareskrim Polri) in Jakarta for further questioning and witness confrontation procedures.
Among those transferred is AKP Malaungi, the former Narcotics Crime Unit Chief of Bima Police Station.
“Yes, we have brought everyone here, they arrived early this morning. They are now undergoing examination at Bareskrim for witness confrontation,” said Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso, Director of the Narcotics Crime Division at Bareskrim Polri, when met at the Bareskrim building in Jakarta on Friday (27 February 2026).
According to him, the case is being handled in a coordinated manner between the NTB Provincial Police and the National Police Headquarters because the matter forms part of a wider narcotics network investigation.
Based on the official report from the NTB Provincial Police Narcotics Investigation Directorate to Bareskrim Polri, six detainees were dispatched to Jakarta.
The four male suspects are Malaungi, Irfan, Herman, and Yusril Isamahendra. The two female suspects are Anita and Ais Setiawati.
The transfers were escorted by 13 personnel from the NTB Provincial Police Narcotics Investigation Directorate, consisting of 11 male officers and two female officers.
The NTB Provincial Police Narcotics Investigation Director, Senior Commissioner Roman Smaradhana Elhaj, stated in his report that the transfer took place on Friday morning, with the destination being the Narcotics Crime Division of Bareskrim Polri.
Previously, the investigation had expanded from the initial narcotics network arrests in Bima, NTB, implicating several individuals, including law enforcement officials.
Eko emphasised that the focus of Bareskrim’s current examination is to deepen the investigation into a larger network structure.
He added that technical details regarding the first and second clusters can be explained further by investigators from the NTB Provincial Police, whilst the development of other clusters is being handled by the National Police Headquarters.
Erwin is also being questioned by Bareskrim Polri in connection with the case involving him.
