Former Bima Police Chief Dismissed Over Drug Case Reassigned to Polri Community Services
Former Bima City Police Chief AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro has been reassigned to become a middle-ranking officer in the Community Services (Yanma) unit of Indonesia’s National Police (Polri). The reassignment follows administrative proceedings for his dismissal.
“AKBP Didik’s transfer to Yanma is to facilitate the administrative process for implementing the KKEP PTDH decision, which is currently underway,” said Irjen Johnny Eddizon Isir, Head of Polri’s Public Relations Division, in a statement on Saturday, 28 February 2026.
The reassignment is detailed in Police Chief telegram number ST/440/II/KEP./2026, dated 27 February 2026. Didik had been sanctioned ethically with dishonourable discharge (PTDH) by Polri in connection with a narcotics case that implicated him on Thursday, 19 February.
Isir explained that three senior officials underwent job transfers as part of an evaluation and demotion process. AKBP Didik was one of them.
The other two were Sleman Police Resort Commander (nonactive) Kombes Edy Setyanto Erning Wibowo, who was transferred to become Senior Legal Analyst and Advocacy in Polri’s Legal Division, with Kombes Adhitya Panji Anom assuming the Sleman Police Resort Commander position. Additionally, Bungo Police Chief of Jambi Regional Police AKBP Natalena Eko Cahyono was transferred to become a senior officer at Jambi Regional Police, with AKBP Zamri Elfino taking over as Bungo Police Chief.
Isir emphasised that all transfers were conducted objectively and based on organisational needs.
“This step is part of Polri’s human resources management strategy to ensure the organisation remains adaptive, cohesive, and responsive to future operational challenges,” he said.
He also expressed hope that officials in their new positions would quickly adjust and demonstrate dedication and integrity in their roles.
“The leadership hopes all reassigned officials can work optimally, maintain internal cohesion, and continue building public trust in Polri,” Isir concluded.
