Former Head of Drug Unit at Bima City Police, AKP Malaungi, has applied to become a justice collaborator in the narcotics trafficking case ensnaring him. The application has been submitted to the West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police (Polda NTB).

“Today, we will submit the justice collaborator application to Polda NTB,” said Asmuni, Malaungi’s legal representative, on Friday (13 March 2026).

Malaungi has applied for justice collaborator status claiming he played a role in dismantling the narcotics trafficking network in Bima. This includes the case involving former Bima City Police Chief, AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro, as well as two drug dealers named Erwin Iskandar, known as Ko Erwin, and A Hamid, known as Boy.

“Our client has disclosed everything that occurred. From the receipt of money to the ownership of the contraband (narcotics). So, everything has been revealed by our client, everything has been opened up, nothing has been concealed—all those involved,” added Asmuni.

Asmuni explained that the justice collaborator application had been planned from the outset and had been coordinated with Polda NTB. He claimed that Malaungi had assisted the Indonesian National Police (Polri) in dismantling the narcotics case.

“This case has been laid completely open. From our side, we have also assisted the Polri; there is nothing else being concealed. Whether it is the flow of funds or who received the money,” he concluded.

Malaungi’s Involvement in the Narcotics Case

Malaungi’s involvement in the narcotics trafficking case emerged from the arrest of a member of the Special Criminal Unit at Bima City Police, Bripka Irfan, known as Karol, and his wife Nita. Both have been designated as suspects and detained at Polda NTB.

“This case originated from a previous arrest conducted by the Narcotics Directorate (Polda NTB), wherein information was provided indicating that another Polri officer was involved,” said Mohammad Kholid, Head of Public Relations at Polda NTB, on 9 February.

The Narcotics Directorate and the Professional Standards and Security Division (Bidpropam) of Polda NTB subsequently questioned Malaungi, who at that time was still serving as Head of the Drug Unit at Bima City Police. On 3 February 2026, Malaungi underwent a urine test with results showing positive for amphetamine and methamphetamine.

Officers also discovered 488 grams of crystal methamphetamine as evidence at Malaungi’s official residence. The contraband was obtained from Koko Erwin. Malaungi also admitted to receiving 1 billion rupiah from Ko Erwin, which was to be given to AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro, who was serving as Bima City Police Chief at that time.

In addition to funds from Ko Erwin, Malaungi also received 1.8 billion rupiah from A Hamid, known as Boy. This money was also to be given to Didik Putra Kuncoro.

It is known that Polda NTB has designated Didik Putra Kuncoro, Ko Erwin, and A Hamid, known as Boy, as suspects. Additionally, Didik has been designated as a suspect by the Narcotics Crime Directorate of the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit regarding possession of crystal methamphetamine and psychotropic substances.
