Jakarta, CNN Indonesia – The National Police Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) said former Bima City Police Chief Sr. Comr. Didik Putra Kuncoro had a suitcase containing illegal narcotics. Director of Narcotics Crime at Bareskrim Brig. Gen. Eko Hadi Santoso said the discovery of the suitcase containing drugs began when Didik was arrested by the Internal Affairs Bureau of the National Police Professional and Security Division on Wednesday (2/11) at 5:00 p.m. local time. He explained that interrogation revealed a white suitcase belonging to Didik at the residence of First Class Adj. Comr. Dianita in the Karawaci area of Tangerang, Banten.

“Investigators then proceeded to Dianita’s residence and found that the suitcase had already been secured by the South Tangerang Police Narcotics Unit,” he said in a written statement on Friday (2/13).

Eko Hadi said examination of the suitcase uncovered drug evidence including 16.3 grams of methamphetamine, 49 ecstasy pills and 2 partially used pills (23.5 grams), 19 Alprazolam pills, 2 Happy Five pills, and 5 grams of ketamine.

Based on these findings, he said, investigators held a case review meeting and immediately designated Didik as a suspect.

“DP has been named a suspect,” he explained.

Furthermore, he said investigators have also taken blood and hair samples from witnesses Miranti Afriana and Dianita for drug testing. Investigators are also still examining the detailed process of how Didik’s white suitcase containing narcotics ended up at Dianita’s residence.

For his actions, Didik has been charged under Article 609 paragraph (2) letter a of Law No. 1 of 2023 on the Criminal Code in conjunction with Law No. 1 of 2026 on criminal adjustments, and Article 62 of Law No. 5 of 1997 on Psychotropic Substances in conjunction with Appendix 1 item number 9 of Law No. 1 of 2026.

Sr. Comr. Didik Putra Kuncoro came under public scrutiny after the Head of the Bima City Police Narcotics Unit, Adj. Comr. Malaungi, was implicated in a drug case and named a suspect. Didik is suspected of involvement in the case by receiving Rp 1 billion from a drug dealer named Koko Erwin. In the West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police investigation, Koko Erwin was identified as the source from whom Adj. Comr. Malaungi obtained 488 grams of methamphetamine. The drugs were found during a search of Malaungi’s official residence in the Bima City Police Barracks complex. In addition to naming Malaungi as a suspect in the drug case, the West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police on Monday (2/9) imposed a dishonorable discharge based on the ruling of the National Police Professional Ethics Commission hearing.
