A drug dealer Erwin bin Iskandar, also known as Ko Erwin (57), regularly transferred security money to AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro, the former Bima City Police Chief, to protect drug distribution operations.

“Essentially it is security money, right, which was given by the Narcotics Head (Former Narcotics Head of Bima City Police, AKP Malaungi) to the Police Chief (Didik),” said Director of Narcotics Crime at Bareskrim Polri, Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso when providing a statement on Friday (27/2/2026).

“The Bima Police Chief received regular monthly transfers, then asked for security costs, and so on,” Eko explained.

The amount of security money has not been detailed by investigators.

The transfer is suspected to have occurred between June 2025 and November 2025.

AKBP Didik has been designated as a suspect by the Directorate of Narcotics Investigation at Polda NTB on Monday, 16 February 2026.

For this matter, Didik is charged under Article 114 paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 132 paragraph (2) or Article 137 Letter A of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics.

“With threats of capital punishment, life imprisonment or maximum imprisonment of 20 (twenty) years and/or maximum fines as referred to in paragraph (1) plus 1/3 or imprisonment of maximum 15 (fifteen) years and/or maximum fines in category VII,” Eko said.

Meanwhile, Ko Erwin has been arrested and brought to Bareskrim Polri on Friday (27/2/2026) for questioning.

The flow of funds between the two is still being investigated by prosecutors.
