Former BGN Head Dadan Hindayana Detained by Attorney General's Office
Dadan Hindayana, the former Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), was seen being escorted out of the Attorney General’s Office’s Special Crimes Division (Jampidsus) building in South Jakarta on Wednesday (3/6/2026) at 17:12 WIB. Wearing a pink detainee vest, Dadan remained silent as he was placed into a detention vehicle.
Dadan was previously removed from his position as Head of BGN by President Prabowo Subertiano on Tuesday (2/6). On Wednesday morning, investigators from the Attorney General’s Office conducted a search of the BGN offices.
While there has been no official explanation regarding the specific charges against Dadan, the Chief of Staff to the President, Dudung Abdurachman, confirmed that his dismissal was partly triggered by allegations involving the alleged sale of SPPG (Free Nutritious Meal) kitchens. “Yes, that is highly likely; much information has been provided to him (the President),” Dudung stated at the parliamentary complex in Senayan, Jakarta, on Wednesday.
When questioned whether Dadan was removed specifically due to the alleged trading of SPPG kitchens, Dudung reaffirmed that it was indeed one of the contributing factors.
