Jakarta, VIVA – Nanik S Deyang has given an update on her condition after resigning from her post as Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN).

Through a post on her personal social media, Nanik shared a photo of herself receiving treatment in hospital.

In the photo, she is seen shaking hands with the President’s Special Adviser for Communications, Hasan Nasbi, who came to visit her.

Nanik also touched on the intense public attention on her after she decided to step down as Head of BGN.

She said various speculations emerged shortly after her resignation was announced, including rumours linking her to alleged corruption in the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme that has ensnared several BGN officials, including Dadan Hindayana.

“Is Nanik Sudaryati Deyang really ill, or is she waiting for the Attorney General’s Office, the KPK, or whatever else is being reported? Just yesterday the news spread so wildly,” Nanik said on Friday, 24 July 2026.

“How could it go so far as to create news that gets shared over and over and becomes material for bullying,” she continued.

Nanik insisted that she is currently abroad to undergo treatment for heart disease.

She also explained that the photo with Hasan Nasbi was documentation from when she was being treated at a hospital in Jakarta on 10 July 2026.

“I have arrived in a foreign country for medical treatment. This photo (with Hasan Nasbi) was taken when I was visited at a hospital in Jakarta when I was first admitted on 10 July 2026,” Nanik said.

“So, before getting a second opinion abroad, I had already been treated at a hospital in Jakarta for more than a week,” she added.

Furthermore, Nanik revealed that she had received many calls and WhatsApp messages containing prayers from members of the Red and White Cabinet. According to her, Attorney General ST Burhanuddin was among those who contacted her.

The statement was made to refute the assumption that she was awaiting questioning by the Attorney General’s Office over the alleged MBG corruption.

“Yesterday, almost all members of the Red and White Cabinet called or messaged me with prayers, including the Attorney General,” she said.

At the end of her post, Nanik offered her congratulations to Sudaryono, who has now officially been appointed Head of BGN.
