Advisor to the Forum Masyarakat Indonesia Emas (FORMAS), Soegiharto Santoso (Hoky), assesses that the influx of investments will have a direct impact on national economic growth. He states that the flow of investments can drive an increase in economic indices while strengthening market confidence.

Hoky emphasises the importance of the momentum from meetings between investors and business actors. According to him, such forums serve as strategic spaces to bring together various parties in building collaborations.

“With investments, economic growth will increase, and in particular, the indices will become positive. Because many investors are entering, our indices will certainly improve, meaning people know we are safe,” said the Chairman General of the National Information and Communication Technology Entrepreneurs Association (APTIKNAS) on the sidelines of the business and investment forum at the RRI Building, Jakarta, on Monday, 13 April 2026.

He explained that the presence of business actors from various regions demonstrates high enthusiasm towards investment opportunities. Entrepreneurs, especially in the information technology sector, are deemed ready to collaborate with foreign investors.

“Because we are also bringing together entrepreneurs and prospective investors. We also have information technology entrepreneurs who are indeed present,” said Hoky.

According to him, this forum was attended by officials and members from various regions, including Bandung and Surabaya. This reflects the broad network of business actors involved in strengthening the technology sector.

Hoky hopes that this meeting does not stop at a single forum but continues to more concrete discussion stages. He mentions that follow-up communication with the government is necessary to assure investors.

“So this is a very good moment, we hope that with this meeting, it can be sustainable. There will also be further meeting discussions, perhaps to the Office of the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs as well,” he said.

He also emphasised that security factors and regulatory certainty are primary concerns for investors. According to him, inconsistent policy changes can reduce confidence in the investment climate.

He also appreciated the role of the media in disseminating information related to the investment forum. According to him, widespread publication can increase investor interest in entering Indonesia.

“So we thank all parties for their presence, as well as the opportunity to be interviewed directly. Because without reporting, perhaps only the speakers who were present earlier would know, but with reporting, this is more widely known,” he said.

Hoky hopes that the disseminated information can reach more business actors, including those from abroad. “Perhaps the entrepreneurs from China who were present earlier also read it,” said Hoky.

Previously, the Forum Masyarakat Indonesia Emas (FORMAS) held a forum titled Fostering Strategic Partnership and Shared Opportunities. The forum invited business and investment delegates from China to participate in investing in Indonesia.

The forum also serves as a step to support President Prabowo Subianto’s priority programmes related to investment. In that agenda, investments cover the technology, digital, and health sectors.
